Pacific Foundation specializes in a wide variety of project types including public works, commercial improvements, private development and heavy industrial.
We have successfully estimated, managed and constructed over $200 Million in ground improvement, foundation and shoring projects in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Hawaii and North Dakota.
The project includes building a new, seismically reinforced below ground reservoir engineered to withstand ongoing landslide encroachment and potentially catastrophic effects of a major earthquake.
The new River S Bridge is a five span, 526'-8" structure, with drilled shafts. Additional work includes Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall, ground improvements, abutment approaches, and other minor construction.
The Capitol Accessibility, Maintenance and Safety project was approved by the 2016 Legislative Assembly to address Americans with Disabilities Act deficiencies in the Oregon State Capitol building.
Pacific Foundation is committed to using the highest quality equipment available, allowing us to minimize downtime and provide maximum efficiency. We have a world-class fleet of Bauer vertical drill rigs, Klemm Hydraulic Rotary drill rigs and as well as a large variety of specialty and support equipment including concrete trucks, bulk cement trucks and concrete boom pumps. By owning all of the equipment needed for a given task, we are able to create symmetry in our operations and reduce our exposure to things that we can't control.
Pacific Foundation prides itself at finding unique solutions to project challenges, reducing both cost and risk for the project team. We have in house professional engineers, BIM Masters, and access to the latest 3D modeling and structural engineerin software that allows us to be more responsive and provide a higher quality product than in the past when we used 3rd party engineering firms.
These abililties were on display during the summer of 2019, when we were awarded the design and installation of a 9-city block shoring project. Within 1.5 weeks of award, we had already designed and installed the first 125 soldier piles, a testament to responsive engineering, aggressive procurement, and very efficient drilling by our crews.
Pacific Foundation is passionate about the safety of our people. Matt Jannings, CHST, is the driving force behind a safety program that is different from so many others. Instead of simply following rules or teaching regulations, Matt has developed a program where the primary goal is to teach our workers the reasons behind the regulations so that they can really understand the importance and buy in to the procedures that we have developed together.
He also has a strong focus on leadership and everyone on the crew being accountable to each other, as it only takes one person to put everyone else at risk. The results speak for themselves, as our EMR in 2018 dropped from a 0.71 to a 0.57, something that is nearly unheard of in our industry.
A Vancouver, Washington-based geotechnical construction company powered by state of the art equipment, driven by unparalleled integrity.
