Tieback and Ground Anchors

Tiebacks are small diameter grouted anchors, typically installed at 15-45 degrees from horizontal and used to hold back soldier piles, walls or other structures. Ground anchors are very similar, and are often installed vertically to provide uplift capacity for structures, particularly below the water table. We are highly experienced M both permanent and temporary tiebacks and anchors in a wide range of conditions, including rock, soil, boulders, heaving sands, and below water table.

Our capabilities include:

  • Both threadbar and strand anchor systems.
  • Single and Double Corrosion Protected systems.
  • Groutless anchors.
  • Hollow Core anchors.
  • Multiple strand anchors, with DL up to 500 kips.
  • Use of load cells and jacking frames.
  • Tying back existing concrete walls, either due to failure or retrofit.
  • Anchoring footings to allow removal of floor slabs below grade.
  • Permanent and temporary anchors.
  • De-stressing and re-stressing of tieback anchors.
  • Tieback pocket / Waler design and fabrication.
  • Reach applications using excavator, crane or hoists to support the drill mast.
