The Bauer BG55 is a Tier 4 Final 550,000 LB track mounted vertical drill rig that has quickly become a favorite of the fleet due to its immense power, state of the art instrumentation and seemingly limitless capabilities. 

It is capable of installing CFA piles to a depth of 123 feet, with the ability to use CFA augers up to 60” diameter.  Its is also capable of  drilling conventional shafts up to 12 feet in diameter and  diameter as well as deep cement mixed columns up to 96” diameter.  It is also capable of operating a 2.5M oscillator using on-board hydraulics and in cab controls, and cutter soil mixers. 

While this rig is not meant for every site, when there is room and the project is large enough, there is nothing better.
