Building the future

Lake Oswego River Intake Pump Station

The Project

Pacific Foundation established a watertight work area by installing fully cased secant piles in basalt bedrock, contributing to the successful Lake Oswego Pump Station project.

The Solution

The secant piles installed by Pacific Foundation in the Lake Oswego River Intake Pump Station project provide a watertight barrier, reinforcing the foundation and ensuring the stability and integrity of the pump station.

The Result

The result of the pump station project is the establishment of a reliable and sustainable water supply system, delivering clean water to the communities of Lake Oswego and Tigard from the Clackamas River.

Scope of Work

We are proud to have been a key participant in this crucial infrastructure initiative, supplying water to the cities of Lake Oswego and Tigard through our expertise in foundation construction.

Located on the right bank of the Clackamas River, this state-of-the-art pump station has a remarkable capacity of 38 million gallons per day (MGD). Pacific Foundation played a vital role in providing a watertight work area for the project. Using our specialized drilling capabilities and the Bauer BG24 drill rig, we installed fully cased secant piles embedded into the challenging basalt bedrock.

Each pile, reaching a depth of approximately 45 feet, was carefully reinforced with concrete tremie placement as sectional casing was extracted. The result was a reliable and watertight barrier that established the solid groundwork for the successful construction of the pump station.

By providing a watertight work area through our expertise in fully cased secant piles, we contributed to the creation of a sustainable and efficient water supply system for the communities we serve.
